Why I’m MIA

I started my new job last week. It’s challenging, but dreamy. Most nights I went home exhausted and had to nurture my leg, which is doing so much better. I’m starting to walk small distances, but very small. My knee still doesn’t want to support my weight for very long, but I’m aiming to be off crutches in another week or two. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could go trick-or treating with the grand babies?

Every morning the eldest, who is nearly nine, sends me a text message asking me to spend time on the sofa with them before they go to school.

Over the weekend, I worked on freelance material. I had a client that ordered a 4,000 word blog post. I also worked on laundry, snuggling the pets who missed me terribly. I’ve always worked from home. They have no idea why I’m gone all day. I also got lost in a few episodes of Merlin’s while elevating my leg.

Right now, I’m typing on my mobile phone from the break room on my lunch hour.

I’ll catch up with all my missed comments soon, and hopefully get back to producing articles, although that may have to wait until my training is done and I return to working from home with a more manageable schedule.

I miss you.

Be back soon.
